Chema Guerrero

Chema Guerrero is President of Ángeles Barberos de España, a nationwide network of volunteer barbers and hairdressers founded in 2020. Recognisable by their black leather waistcoats, the Ángeles take their chairs to the streets, shelters and social centres, offering free haircuts and beard trims to people who are homeless or in need.

In just five years the group has grown to almost 100 members across 15 provincial chapters, carrying out more than 100 actions and events across Spain and reaching over 6,000 people. Each chapter is led by a Captain who works with local social institutions to keep the events running regularly and sustainably.

The results reach beyond the haircut: some of the people they have served have gone on to find work or a home. The mission now is to reach every corner of Spain, and any professional who wants to help restore someone’s dignity is invited to become an Ángel Barbero.
