One Day. One Worldwide Charity. Barbers Unite.

The Father of the modern Barber Chair as we know it today is Ernest Koken, a German immigrant born in the late 19th Century. He created the first hydraulic-operated chair and also patented the "joystick" side lever, which allowed a barber to control all the mechanical functions!

We invite barbers from around the world to join together with your clients and contribute to this global initiative. Barbershops, please register your store at https://t.co/a0OrmD7zsr and have your clients join you in the chair on #worldbarberday!

Dating back to the Middle Ages, the Barbers pole has been a sign that signifies the place or shop where the craft of barbering is performed.

This pole contains a helix of coloured stripes, often red & white (red, white & blue in the US).

World Barber Day is our opportunity to put our scissors & combs together to try make a positive change in the word. We will unite to raise funds and use our position within our communities to make a positive impact.

Join us - together we can make a difference!
