About World Barber DayWorld Barber Day is the founding organisation of the global day itself: September 16th was established by this initiative, and international calendar sites have since adopted our date. Founded in 2017 by brothers Hugh & Conor Mc Allister, owners of Ireland’s Grafton Barber chain, it is run centrally from the Republic of Ireland and has grown into a movement spanning dozens of countries. There is no set fundraising plan – each shop raises money its own way, for a cause that helps its local community, under one ethos: offering dignity & hope to those who need it most.
